I'm with Sold on this. I was quite surprised to hear he was still around all things considered.
Good luck to the poor feller.

David was a close friend of our family, my dad was a professional photographer and the shop was a bit of a local hang out for enthusiasts. Many happy and many boring weekends in there.

When he lost his first leg, it was diabetes, so probably.

Re: Stevie Bacon
I agree that Steve Bacon has been a West Ham legend as long as I can remember, and this is horrible news.

Poor bloke. Toes, then legs having to go.

Is it a diabetes thing?

An icon of the club
Would be nice if the club could put a link on the o/s where people could donate.
Or even buy his book mentioned below or some prints of his famous Hammers photos

Good to see Don Hutchinson has been in touch with him asking if there is anything he can do to help.

I hope he comes through these dark days and can enjoy at least some quality of life.

The only thing this man has ever done wrong is missing Iron Duke with his motor.

Hope he finds some peace, good luck Stevie, proper West Ham.

Re: Stevie Bacon
Is there not some spare space around the stadium that can be knocked up into a temporary gallery to exhibit some of his work down the years? I'm sure people would willingly pay a fiver a pop to wander through our history before/after a game. ALL proceeds, etc, etc...

Don't see any GoFundMe or similar pages for him online, would be happy to contribute to help him with a bit of income whilst he's going through this.

Horrible news.

Don't see any GoFundMe or similar pages for him online, would be happy to contribute to help him with a bit of income whilst he's going through this.

Also, too many English phrases about helping people out financially include legs and feet.
